Across the prairie, across the plains
down through the mountains to the mains
the wind does blow, oh how it howls
Mother Nature is cleaning house

Cover the dirt, cover the grime
blanket of white, not spreading lime
spring snows, oh the moisture it brings
cleaning house and announcing spring

Sun rises earlier, sets a little later
mother Nature is the spring caterer
soon crocus, Iris and other blooms
the beauty of spring, never comes too soon

Cattle drop new calves
does soon dropping fawns
comes the morning, comes the dawn
smile for spring is coming along
