Here's to you dreamers and your dreams
They might be lost in a fog, or flowing in a stream
Perhaps upon a mountain top
Whatever you're dreaming, just don't stop

My dream has always been to write
A book of poems, but that dream took flight
Sometimes it comes back to my mind
But that much ambition I cannot find

When I was young I dreamed of fame
With the theatre marquee lighting my name
I was a singer and I was pretty good
Thought I could make it, in fact I knew I could

All of my dreams go up in smoke
None will come true, they're all a joke
And the joke's on me it would seem
That my whole life has just been a dream
