We've, most of us, heard of
the fall of the Roman empire.
Apparently all empires fall, expire
when they have run their course,
outlived their usefulness,
used up their source
of whatever had sustained them.
Ancient Greece, as well as Rome,
prospered, contributed, gloried, and fell.
Are we to do as well?
