Summer time is losing its edge,
Soon fall will rule the place,
From bright colors to more browns,
As sepia becomes the fall color.

The leaves are starting to turn,
And some bushes are slowing down.
The days get shorter, I do observe,
As the apples do begin to ripen.

Another summer will be laid to rest,
Another growing season we have seen.
The trees and bushes want to rest,
For they have given us their very best.

I smile as I do look around,
As I feel the waning sun.
As I smile and thank the man above,
For giving me another good year.
